Objectives :

  1. Adopting a governance policy in all IT matters
  2. Establishing and activating the role of the department
  3. Completing the University's infrastructure with a fast and secure infrastructure, including linking all university buildings, branches and offices
  4. Providing active index servers to manage the data and information of all employees of the university
  5. Providing the superstructure which includes the necessary servers to run the university system of databases, programs of protection, management of the network, educational programs and Internet services
  6. Working on the integration of the databases adopted by the university in all its daily work
  7. Developing and activating the electronic portal of the university to serve the employees and external bodies
  8. Establishing center for a government documents with the latest archiving and retrieval facilities
  9. Establishing a center for a specialized technical training of the University
  10. Training and qualifying technical staff which make them capable to lead the whole technical university system
  11. Applying the university e-mail server for all its employees, students in official and internal communications
  12. Transforming all the paperwork (hardcopies) into electronic (soft copies)
  13. Making all the university's scientific resources like research, Ph.D., Master thesis, conferences and scientific journals available on the university webpage
  14. Activating the services for the Center of E-learning and distance education
  15. Working on re-engineering the procedures and completing them according to the priorities and needs of the community
  16. Switching to electronic transactions at all levels.
  17. Achieving the requirements of the National Administration for Digital Certification and its link to www.yesser.gov.sa
  18. Achieving the highest level of security, protection and continuity of service through the following:
  • Anti Virus.
  • IDS/IPS
  • High Availability.
  • Using a powerful and secure electronic signature system.
  • Using a strong electronic authentication system.
  • Designing and creating a backup secondary data center

 

  • Designing and establishing center for disaster, there is a preliminary perception is located outside the university
  • providing Smart – RFID to the university’s staff
  • An integrated system for attendance and departure connected to employees affairs
  • KPI system.
