E-learning Unit

  • Tasks of E-learning Unit:

   - Supervising on the system administrator work and helping to manage the LMS learning system

   - Reviewing in detail the work of the initiatives and to identify the tools that can be used from the e-learning system and activate them and develop the necessary procedures for them.

   - Managing the educational and training courses in the system and updating them according to the requirements.

   - Providing technical support in relation to the system.

   - Training the university staff on the system.

   - Following up what is being published in the system on a daily basis

   - Coordination with the Instructional Design Unit.

   - Supervising the system management and mechanisms and means of the system activation

   - Performing all assigned acts by the Dean's agent.

 Informing members that Blackboard accounts for 30% of the annual assessment
 Presenting intensive courses for unit coordinators to e train the members of the department

3 Raising faculty members and students with e-learning systems, methods and techniques.  Awareness of all teachers and students on how to make discussion boards and duties, how to design virtual classrooms, and the importance of raising the teaching plan at the beginning of each semester
 Awareness of the members of the importance of raising the Course Description (course content) and the additional activities the student can do, whether watching videos or doing research or summing up a part of a specific reference.

4 Evaluation of e-learning process.  Submitting 30% of the annual assessment, i.e., 15% per semester.
 The evaluation is done according to the member's activation of the teaching staff to the requirements of the Blackboard (the course description, the course content, the duties (students' work), the discussion panel, the virtual classes, the professor's C.V)

5 Coordination with the Deanship of Quality for e-learning  Holding special and intensive courses for the "electronic courses" including their professors - and students -
 Preparing a separate schedule for e-courses
 Helping the electronic courses' professors by preparing rooms and appropriate times to give a lecture or two only in a traditional way to clarify unless explained by Blackboard -
