“Genetic Blood Diseases” event
he occasion of the World Week for Hereditary Blood Diseases

Under the supervision of His Excellency Dr. Maryam Al-Anazi, Dean of the College, and on the occasion of the World Week for Hereditary Blood Diseases, and out of social responsibility, the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Qurayyat, represented by the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, in cooperation with the Majd Al-Ulum Secondary School for Boys in Qurayyat, organized a lecture entitled “Heritable Blood Diseases” on... Monday, November 6, 2023, at 11 am.

The meeting discussed the definition of blood and genetic diseases, the types of hereditary blood diseases and how they spread in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, followed by an explanation of sickle cell anemia and Mediterranean anemia, what are the methods of diagnosing hereditary blood diseases, how to prevent them, and the treatment methods available for hereditary blood patients.

The event concluded by answering the attendees' inquiries.
