The Quality Committee is responsible for defining, prioritizing, overseeing and monitoring the performance improvement activities, including the compliance with the NCAAA quality requirements at Applied Medical Sciences College.

The primary duties of the Quality Committee include analyzing and aggregating Institutional performance data, monitoring performance improvement efforts for effectiveness, and making recommendations to the College Council and the departments Committee for changes operations.

 The Quality Committee will coordinate the acquisition of performance improvement information and will interface with appropriate committees and departments/units of the college to improve organizational performance.

  1. Quality Committee Objectives
  • Implement an effective system of quality assurance in college.
  • To spread the culture of quality and awareness of the importance of applying its mechanisms among the faculty members.
  • Building trained cadres in the field of quality and systems.
  • Adopting self-evaluation of performance as an input to internal and external audit.
  • Identify the obstacles to the development of college performance and propose solutions and develop improvement plans in different areas.
  • Ensuring effective communication with the Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation as a technical reference for the unit and to ensure the quality of the outputs.

 

  1. Quality Committee Duties
  • Achieve annual quality plan.
  • Coordination and follow-up with the Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation
  • Review and update the vision, mission and goals periodically
  • Follow-up the formation of quality committees in scientific departments and follow-up performance with the necessary support to carry out its tasks.
  • Create basic databases to include all activities related to the quality system.
  • Carry out awareness campaigns, seminars and periodicals to spread and consolidate quality culture at the level of the college community.
  • Carry out specialized training courses in the field of quality system implementation mechanisms in coordination with the Deanship of Quality
  • Prepare and design evaluation forms and analyze their results.
  • Follow up the preparation of the program description and review them internally and externally periodically
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual report of the College.
  • Follow up the performance of the scientific departments in the field of quality assurance.
  • Approval of the formation of committees related to the implementation of quality standards and follow up the implementation of its work.
  • Providing the college management with an integrated vision on the level of performance in the field of applying quality to the faculty for decision-making and taking appropriate corrective actions

 

 

  1. Quality Coordinators Committee Duties
  • Communication between the quality unit in the college and scientific sections.
  • Ensure that evaluations of decisions and opinion are conducted transparently and impartially.
  • Distribution and compilation of all documents and quality reports at the level of scientific departments.
  • The development of the compilation of performance indicators and benchmarking of all the programs of the College, and follow-up of the measurement process annually the performance of programs in light of the results of these indicators and the extent of appropriate improvement procedures for each program.
  • To propose the formation of internal and external audit committees for academic programs in partnership with the program coordinators, the head of the quality unit and the organization of external audit procedures for academic programs.
  • Participate in reviewing the descriptions and reports of the programs and their decisions in college with the program coordinators periodically, and to confirm the models approved by the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment and those they are compatible with the preparation according to the national qualifications framework.
  • Participation in meeting all the criteria for program accreditation for all academic programs at the college.
  • Preparing self-study programs for all programs of the college. - Applying the practices of the institutional accreditation standards of the university and follow-up the continuity of their implementation in the college, and providing.
  1. Technical Support and Training Committee Duties
  • Providing technical support to scientific departments.
  • Defining training needs in the field of quality assurance and academic accreditation for all faculty members (faculty members, administrators, students, graduates, beneficiary society).
  • Preparation of training plans in the field of quality assurance based on the needs of faculty members including conferences, seminars, training programs and workshops.
  • Activation and implementation of training plans and the preparation of training materials in cooperation with the Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation.
  • Evaluation of the performance of training programs in the light of models prepared for this purpose
  • Follow-up of assignments in light of developments and requirements.

  3. Review the completion of the program accreditation criteria at the college.
  4. Review of program descriptions / reports / files and curricula.
  5. Evaluation and Measurement Committee Duties
  • Follow up the implementation of the annual plan and plans for improvement and enhancement.
  • Follow-up to send the reports of courses from departments to the headquarters of the quality unit and coordination with the head of the quality unit and the Committee of Quality Coordinators in the scientific sections in this regard.
  • Follow-up the sending of the results of the evaluation of courses and students' comments to the departmental councils and the coordinators of the courses and to those who teach to take the necessary corrective action.
  • Prepare comparative reports on the results of evaluation of courses at the level of academic programs.
  • Follow up the implementation of the training plans in the College in the light of approved plans.
  • Follow up the activation of improvement proposals for analyzing the results of reference comparison at the college level and programs.
  • Review the program self-study of the programs of the college with the competent committee, and adoption of the official councils and the classification of the college programs according to the level of performance
  • Follow-up of assignments in light of developments and requirements.
