The College of Applied Medical Sciences in Qurayyat implements the “Healthy Food Today for a Better Tomorrow” event.

Under the supervision of Her Excellency Dr. Maryam Al-Anazi, Dean of the College, and on the occasion of World Food Day, under the slogan “Water is Life, Water is Food,” and out of social responsibility, the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Qurayyat, represented by the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, organized the female section in cooperation with the Thirteenth Secondary School for Girls. In Qurayyat, the “Healthy Food Today for a Better Tomorrow” event will take place on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 10:00 am.

100 students from the Thirteenth Secondary School for Girls in Al-Qurayyat participated in the event. The meeting discussed the definition of healthy food, the factors affecting nutritional needs, and what is the food pyramid, followed by an explanation of the basic elements of healthy food, the foundations of the nutritional calendar, and the benefits of healthy food for the body.

The event concluded with the distribution of awareness brochures about healthy food to the attendees.
