The College organizes the Clinical Skills Exhibition
Under the supervision of Her Excellency Dr. Maryam Bint Nazzal Al-Enezi, Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Qurayyat, the Student Activities and Community Service Committee, in coordination with the scientific departments of the college, organized the Clinical Skills Exhibition at the Qurayyat Mall on Thursday, 5/18/2023 AD at eight o’clock in the evening. The exhibition was opened in the presence of Her Excellency Dr. Dean of the College, His Excellency Dr. Vice-Dean and Dean of the College of Technology in Qurayyat, along with officials from Qurayyat General Hospital and some officials of private hospitals and clinics, followed by a tour of the exhibition to learn about the skills of male and female students and benefit from the health services provided by them. Exhibition students such as: measuring blood pressure, blood sugar level, knowing blood type, hemoglobin analysis, and some therapeutic exercises from students of the Department of Physiotherapy. The exhibition also included educational pavilions and corners;
The wing of the nursing department, in which male and female students reviewed clinical skills such as: cardiopulmonary resuscitation, intramuscular and intravenous injections, and how to fix a cannula for intravenous nutrition, in addition to skills such as electrocardiography, examination skills of the pregnant mother to determine the gestational age, how the fetus is in the womb, and how it progresses. fetus and date of birth
And a pavilion for male and female students of the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, through which male and female students of the department presented presentations and applications of skills in hematology and clinical chemistry, and an examination of blood groups, blood sugar level and hemoglobin analysis was conducted. In the field of microbiology and molecular biology, the most important clinical skills were introduced, including antibiotic sensitivity analysis, effective treatment of patients using the best antibiotics, and coronavirus analysis. And a pavilion for male and female students of the Department of Physical Therapy and Health Rehabilitation, through which male and female students demonstrated many therapeutic clinical skills such as skills and exercises to treat muscle, joint and spine problems, respiratory and heart exercises, and weight loss exercises.
