College of Business holds an introductory meeting on the membership of the student from SOCPA

In view of the College of Business's efforts to introduce its students to the business environment in its different fields. The College of Business organized an introductory meeting of the membership of the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA), in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Mohammed bin Nayef Al-Otaibi, the Vice-Dean of the College, Dr. Suhia Al-Shari and a number of academicians from faculty members and students from both male and Female sections of the College.

The meeting concentrated on the advantages of the membership of the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA), including the enjoyment of the member's sense of belonging to a professional community and communicate with members and attend seminars, conferences and professional meetings organized by the Commission, as well as access to free publications of the Commission and all information available on various professional activities. Moreover, the student membership is free and has all the benefits ofmembership, also receive a 30% discount on the fees of specialized training courses.

This was followed by a video review of the student's membership in the Commission and the conditions for obtaining it and then the interventions of faculty members and students. At the end of the meeting, the Dean gave thanks to all and urged students to develop their abilities and acquire knowledge and not only academic sciences, noting that the practice is an important factor in the profession of the future, including administrative, financial and accounting.
