About the Department

The Department of Physics is one of the most important departments of basic sciences at Al-Jouf University, as it is located within four other scientific departments in the College of Science. The Department of Physics is entrusted with teaching all physics courses for students of the College of Science, where students of the Department of Physics study more than thirty courses in the field of physics during the undergraduate level at an average of 85 credits. The department also teaches physics for the first level of the College of Engineering and Medical Sciences, in addition to conducting research Scientific in various physics disciplines, and among the most important specializations in the Department of Physics are solid-state physics, electronics, nuclear physics, theoretical physics, optics and laser physics, and biomedical and medical physics. These disciplines are supported by eight experimental laboratories to deepen the theoretical concepts of students during their various stages of study, so that the graduate of the department can obtain a bachelor's degree in physics, and with it he can compete in the labor market.
