Arab Chemistry Week
Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed bin Musa Al-Sayat, Dean of the College of Science, the Department of Chemistry held a celebration on the occasion of the Arab Chemistry Week. The events began with an opening introduction by Dr. Ibrahim bin Hotan Al-Suhaimi, Head of the Chemistry Department. This was followed by a lecture by Prof. Ahmed Al-Ghurab entitled "The Role of Chemistry in Development", then by Dr. Muhammad Al-Hashimi, entitled "Climate Changes and Air Pollution", then a lecture by student / Maryam Abdel Azim entitled "The Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the year 2022 in the field of Click Chemistry." The department head honored the lecturers and students in the department. Then Dr. Ahmed Al-Siyat, Dean of the College, inaugurated the exhibition of practical experiments in the college lobby, in which the students reviewed many chemical experiments. It is worth noting that school students were invited, and the Director of Public Relations at the Department of Education in Al-Jouf attended, accompanied by many students from schools in the Al-Jouf region. At the end of the celebrations, a visit was made to the central laboratory at the university to learn about the capabilities of the laboratory, which it provides for the service of scientific research and society.
