The first of its kind in the region: College of dentistry succeeds in a rare operation for a girl on her thirteenth day

The Center for Consultancy Clinics at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University succeeded in conducting a rare medical operation in Al-Jawf region for the first case. It was born on its thirteenth day and was suffering from congenital malformation. The medical team was led by the Dean of the College and the Vice Chancellor Dr. Badr bin Karim Al - Zara corrected the deformity, which enables the girl to breastfeed naturally. He said d. Zara that this situation is rare and attributed to one in every thirty thousand births, noting that the team has prepared a remedial plan to deal with the situation during and after the operation. Dr. Al-Zari expressed his pride that the university and its medical clinics have stopped the local community from traveling to the capital Riyadh and other major cities to review the advanced medical centers, where the clinics are the only university in Al-Jouf region which conducts this type of surgery in addition to dental implants.
