Deanship of Quality Hold Training Meeting to Describe the Program at the Auditorium of the Science Faculty

As part of the plan of the Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation towards institutional and program accreditation as well as following-up with the quality efforts at the faculties to use the most recent models of the Educational Assessment Committee, the Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation held a training program to provide description of the program. It was held on Thursday, 29/01/1439, at the auditorium of the Faculty of Science in the university residence in Sakaka and attended by the heads of the quality units at the faculties, the coordinators of the programs, and the teaching staff. His Highness the consultant of the Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation, Dr. Mohammed Rowezak, introduced the meeting and provided a detailed explanation on the mechanism of carrying out a program description according to the model of Education Assessment Committee 2017.  It covered the following topics:

• An introduction to the program and background information;
• The program environment;
• The message, objectives and goals of the program;
• The organization and structure of the program;
• The regulations to assess the learning of the students and ensuring they meet the standards;
• Managing student services and support;
• Learning sources, facilities and equipment;
• Teaching staff and other teaching personnel; and
• Assessing the programs and measure to improve it.

The presentation clarified the means of developing the program’s matrix and writing the learning outcomes. The program, which was held at the auditorium of the Science Faculty, was attended by 75 members of the teaching staff of the boys’ section in Sakaka. The program was also broadcasted online to the two branches of the University in Qurayyat and Tabarjal.
