Qurayyat Sciences and Arts organizes a symposium on poetry in the light of modern curricula.

The Cultural Committee in the Department of Arabic Language in the college organized a symposium entitled: "Poetry in the Light of Modern Approaches" The symposium included two lectures, The first is entitled: "For the Nile and Hope," a poem of lamentation for Amal Dunqul by the poet Ahmed Al-Saleh. Prepared by Dr. Abdullah Al-Mutairi. Al-Mutairi spoke about the vision and style that characterizes the poets' lamentation of each other. The second lecture was titled:

"Lamiya al-Baroudi, an Argumentative Approach," by Dr. Muhammad al-Sayyid Hasan He dealt with the most prominent argumentative features of this poem. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Syed Ahmed Abdul Rahman. The symposium included rich interventions from the Acting Dean of the College, Dr. Radhi Al-Ruwaili, the Head of the Arabic Language Department, Dr. Saad Mashi Al-Enezi, and a number of members and attendees. The Dean of the College also praised the symposium and its participants and thanked the Department of Arabic Language for its active contributions to the activities of the College.
