In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah alone, and peace and blessings be upon the last Prophet, our Master Muhammad, and upon his family and companions.
At the beginning of this new academic year 1446 AH, I am pleased to express my heartfelt gratitude to our wise leadership, my lord, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz—may Allah protect them—for their generous support and noble guidance. I also extend my thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Al-Jouf Region—may Allah preserve him—for his patronage of the university's activities and his kind follow-up. My thanks also go to His Royal Highness Prince Mutaib bin Mishaal bin Badr bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Governor of Al-Jouf Region—may Allah protect him—for his attention to the university. Gratitude is also extended to His Excellency the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, Chairman of the Universities Affairs Council, for his guidance and follow-up.
I am delighted to extend my congratulations to all members of the university, my colleagues from the faculty and administrative staff, and my sons and daughters, the university students. I affirm to everyone that the university is a fertile ground for organizing ideas and visions, nurturing talent, and developing skills. It is a place that molds men and women, cultivates enlightened minds, and paves the way for building a generation of leaders and thinkers. The university arms them with the weapon of knowledge and education to become a well-cultured and aware generation.
I urge everyone to put in the effort, double their contributions, be committed, and not slack off. They should observe integrity, adhere to regulations and instructions, respect the university’s entity, and preserve it.
The university always strives to harness all resources to elevate all its sectors, thanks to the continuous support from the Government of my lord, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz—may Allah protect him—and the follow-up of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, in alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The university is witnessing significant achievements and efforts to provide outstanding educational services, including the establishment of new departments, the qualification of colleges and buildings, the development of programs, the introduction of new ones in partnership with other universities, serving the sons and daughters of the region, signing several agreements and memoranda of cooperation, holding many conferences, and offering numerous training courses for its members to place it among the ranks of distinguished universities in the development of its services.
Finally, a short message to my sons and daughters, the students:
"You are the builders of the future. Approach your studies with a spirit of giving and excellent performance. Know that effort, coupled with high ambition and good organization, is your weapon for strong beginnings, leading to your joy in the magnificence of the endings."
I pray that Allah—Glorified and Exalted—makes the beginning of this year a gateway to all that is good and grants success and prosperity to everyone.
