Published Issues

General Rules:

  1. The journal accepts original and distinguished researches and studies in various fields of educational sciences written in Arabic or English.
  2. The researcher and all the participating researchers (if any) must submit a request for publication, and a signed statement that the manuscript has not been published, is not submitted for publication, and will not be submitted simultaneously for review to another journal until the publishing proceedings are completed. (Form 1)
  3. The editorial board has the right to decide if the research is valid to be sent to referees/ reviewer or not, without giving reasons.
  4. All accepted manuscripts become the property of JUESJ, and must not be published in any other vessel whether in paper or electronically without a written permission from the editor in-chief.‏
  5. Opinions in the manuscripts do not express JUESJ view; rather they express only the researchers’ views.
  6. The editorial board has the right to set priorities of publishing the researches.

 

Rules of Procedure:

  1. The title of the research, the name of the researcher(s), the institution to which he/they belong, the mailing address, and the contact number must be written on the first page (all in Arabic and English), followed by the abstract of the study in the Arabic and English, all on the same page.
  2. Name/names of the research/researchers should not be openly expressed in the manuscript or expressed by any indication that might reveal their identity; however, the word (researcher /researchers) must be used instead of the name(s).
  3. The manuscript is organized according to the following: the researcher provides an introduction that begins by presenting the nature of the research, and the extent to which it is needed and its rationale. This is followed by a review of the research problem, then determining its objectives, its importance, and then its questions or hypotheses, without side titles. After that the researcher provides the previous studies and commentaries, and then the methodology of the research, including: the research community, its sample, its tools and procedures, including how to analyze its data. And then the results of the research and discussion, and recommendations emanating from it. The bibliography is placed at the end of the research using the documentation method adopted by the journal.

  5. The researcher must add a transliterating (Romanizing) form of the Arabic references and must be included in the English references list according to their alphabetical order. For example:
  • Al-Khawaldeh, M., & Al-Ruba'i, Z .(2004). Educational Values of Art Education Curricula Acquired by Upper Basic Education Students in Jordan as Perceived by their Teachers (in Arabic). Dirasat: Educational Sciences, 31 (1), 158- 184.

 

  1. The manuscript has to be written on A4 paper. It must not exceed (30) pages, including Arabic and English abstracts, references, appendixes, and supplementary material if any.
  2. It is the responsibility of the researcher to make sure that the manuscript is free of linguistic, grammatical and typo errors.

 

Rules of Format Printing:

  1. Page margins of the manuscript (top, bottom, left and right) must be (3 cm), and the line spacing should be single. The manuscript should include page numbers at the middle bottom of the page.
  2. The font of the Arabic manuscript must be written in (Traditional Arabic- size 16), and tables must be in (Traditional Arabic, size 12), whereas the font of the English manuscript must be (Times New Roman, size 11), and the tables must be in (Times New Roman, size 8).
  3. The font of the Arabic abstract must be written in (Traditional Arabic- size 14), and The font of the English abstract must be written in (Times New Roman- size 12). Each abstract must not exceed (250) words, and followed by not more than five keywords for indexing.
  4. Headlines and subheadings are never numbered.
  5. At the beginning of each paragraph, leave an indentation of five-character space or press the (Tab) key. Skip a line between paragraphs and between the end of each paragraph and the next headline or subheading.
  6. The abbreviations of the Gregorian and the Hijri dates must be added for all dates in the entire research, and should be adjacent to the date without any space between them.
  7. Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3 ...) are used throughout the entire search. They must be printed manually. They must not be converted by the options of the Office Word.
  8. A punctuation mark is a part of the previous word, so no space is left before it. Leave only one space after each punctuation mark.
  9. The conjunction letter in Arabic /wa/ is a part of the following word, so no space is left between them.
  10. The table direction (left to right / right to left ) should be according to the research language. The table title must be written and centralized above it. The font type for Arabic manuscript is (Traditional Arabic – size 12 -bold), and for English manuscript the font is (Times New Roman – size 10 -bold).
  11. The form title must be written and centralized below it. The font type for the Arabic manuscript is (Traditional Arabic – size 12- bold), and (Times New Roman – size 8 -bold) for the English manuscript. Fixed images and shapes are not accepted.
  12. The Arabic references list should be at the end of the manuscript. The font used for them is (Traditional Arabic – size 14). The English references list should be after Arabic references list, The font type (Times New Roman – size 12) must be used. The spacing between the lines is single (before and after zero point.( Each reference must be preceded by a bullet point (-) according to the documentation style adopted by the Journal.
