The Royal Decree approved the establishment of the College of Sciences and Arts in Al-Qurayyat Governorate, affiliated to Al-Jouf University, at the beginning of the academic year 1431/1430 AH. Upon its inception, the college included only two departments: the Department of Islamic Studies and the Department of Arabic Language, after which nine other departments were added, bringing the total to 11 departments.

The College of Science and Arts in Al-Qurayyat is one of the original scientific institutions in scientific research and student and community service. The Deanship of the College has spared no effort for its advancement and leadership. This provides for benefiting from the latest scientific developments and modern technologies; It is also embodied in the various services provided by the college; such as equipping laboratories, and providing all the necessary requirements for them; This allows students to ease the practical application.
