Committee’s Responsibilities

  1. Setting out the general regulations/controls of the academic schedule for all university’s colleges.
  2. Following up the implementation of the controls of the academic schedule by the concerned colleges.
  3. Studying requests for exemption from applying some controls and estimating the necessary conditions for this exemption.
  4. Studying and recommending the payment of overtime hours.
  5. Determining the procedures regarding any non-compliance with the proposed controls and submitting related concerns to His Excellency the Rector of the University.

Committee’s Responsibilities

 

  1. Providing a comprehensive electronic database that includes all assets and needs at the department, college and university level, ensuring a higher level of coordination between the needs of different colleges in a consistent manner with the budget allocated by the university.
  2. Studying the reality of laboratories in different colleges to find out what is working, and to inquire from those colleges about the challenges of using them effectively.
  3. Receiving and studying purchase orders submitted by different colleges and departments and putting them in a public competition (tender) as possible after ensuring the official approval of the concerned authorized body, and then setting out an announced specific mechanism for the related procedure.
  4. The Committee is entitled to recommend the approval, disapproval or amendment of purchase orders and tenders for laboratories.
  5. Preparing a database of companies specialized in laboratories and focusing on agencies of international companies well-known in their field of industry.
  6. Technical studying of offers through committees formed by the Central Committee.
  7. Following up the procedures of tender selection and ensuring the speed up of procedures between the committees and related specialized departments
  8. Preparing a list of companies that are repeatedly non-compliance with or meet the competition’s conditions such as  the supply period, warranty, maintenance and others, and setting out relevant solutions to be addressed.
