Jouf University was established in 2005 to become a leading intellectual cultural and scientific body in the region and to be one of the pillars in modern evolution nationally and internationally.

Therefore, the Research and Training Institute (IRCST) was established in 2012 to translate university role in education, research and community service. The role of Research and Training Institute is to link between the university capabilities and the public and private sectors through providing expertise and research to these sectors in order they reach effective productivity and sustainable development.

IRCST offers a number of services, including counseling, research studies, translation, and training in many fields for all sector in the region mainly and for the whole country in general.

IRCST is offering a number of expertise offices run by professional employees and teaching staff from the university in many disciplines.

IRCST is hosting a number of scientific chairs in different fields funded by people and organizations other than the university.
