Welcome the site of English department, college of Arts. Following is an orientation of the department:

The department was established in 1428 H. the department provides BA in English language. The department has a group of distinguished faculty members specialized in language teaching, theoretical and applied linguistics, English literature, and translation. The faculty members in the department participate effectively in the education of students, scientific research and community services.

In order to meet the need of the labor market, the department carried out a comprehensive development of the teaching plan in 2018 to go along with the most recent advancements in the fields of language teaching, linguistics, literature, and translation. This will ensure the quality of the learning experience provided to students.

 The department enabled those who want to pursue their post-graduate studies through the starting an MA program in applied linguistics ( TEFL) in the year 2019. This program provides learners with the latest techniques and methods in the field of English language teaching and provides them with the needed research tools in the field.

Finally, we hope that the site will provide its visitors with useful information about the department, its programs, its staff, and its activities.
