College of Sharia and Law

Dean Message

In the name of of Allah the Merciful

Praise be to Allah, the Most Gracious, and the Most Merciful. Peace and blessings of God be upon His messenger.

The government of Suadi Arabia established a good number of universities covering all regions in the Kingdom, including Al-Jouf. Jouf University is one of the landmarks of national renaissance in the northern part of the Kingdom. It includes colleges offering different programs in applied sciences, Human sciences, and Sharia and law.

This blessed college was established under a royal decree from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques (with the Directive No. 4465 / MB) dated on 28/05 / 1431H. The decree approved Jouf University council's recommendation in its third meeting of 1429/1430 AH, on 19/07 / 1430H, in which the name of the college was changed to the 'College of Sharia and Law'.  Since then, the college has received continuous support from His Excellency, the Rector of the University Professor Dr. Ismail bin Mohammed Al-Bishri , May God bless  him. The Rector saved no effort in order to develop the college and enhance its status as a reputable institution providing legal knowledge and expertise to the local community in Aljouf region and the Saud community at large.

The College of Sharia and Law contains two Departments offering two academic tracks for the bachelor's degree; Sharia and public law. It also has a graduate program at the M. A level (M.A in in jurisprudence). The program goes in line with the country's policy, which targets the provision of legal education and expertise to meet the requirements and needs of the labor market. The College will achieve its objectives by building national capacity in the field of Sharia and Law. By doing this, the college will be a pioneering center for excellence in teaching and researching   legal sciences.

My colleagues and I are pleased to provide some information about our college covering the vision of the college, its mission, goals, departments, academic programs and the academic services it provides. We hope that this site will meet all of the needs and queries of our visitors.

In conclusion, I pray for God to help us achieve our goals and objectives in order to contribute to the ongoing development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Mohsin Al-Bader

Dean, College of Sharia and Law
