The Department of Special Education occupies a leadership position among the special education departments in the Kingdom and occupies a distinguished position among the special education departments worldwide and achieves this vision through its mission.

Mission has three dimensions:

• Preparation of human cadres:

To achieve the vision through excellence in the preparation of special education teachers academically, ethically and educationally at the level of university studies, and to prepare researchers, leaders and administrators successful at the level of graduate studies to be members of the faculty in universities and to work in other educational institutions.

• Scientific research:

 Preparation of national research projects, supervision of research projects to be supervised, and initiative to propose relative project at the national and global levels.

• 3- Services:

Providing consulting and training services to governmental and private institutions, diagnosis and training services for children and parents through specialized department centers

- Qualifying educational competencies capable of working successfully with people with special needs.

-Providing students with a broad scientific base on all tracks, as well as intensive knowledge in the field in which they have specialized.

-Preparing students and preparing them for academic research to serve people with special needs.

-Raising the level of special education services provided to children with special needs in the regions of Saudi Arabia.

-Providing students with a broad scientific base in different knowledge branches, as well as specialized knowledge in the chosen field of study.

-Preparation of specialized cadres in the field of special education through obtaining a bachelor's degree in one of the following specialized tracks:
