The Graduation Project Committee

Objectives:

The committee organize and supervise the completion of the students’ graduation projects as a practical application of the theoretical and academic material that the students studied which will prepare the students for the job market’s needs. The committee also strives to provide high quality graduation projects and follow the completion of the project according to its requirements.

Duties:

  1. Receiving graduation project proposals from the teaching staff.
  2. Making the projects proposals available to the student to choose from.
  3. Preparing templates for the graduation reports for the supervisors and students.
  4. Creating and organizing committees to discuss and evaluate the graduation projects and publish the timing and schedules.
  5. Keeping a record of all presented projects and reports.
  6. Conducting workshops for the students on how to prepare graduation reports and presentations.
  7. Supervising events such as “Poster Day” to present the students’ projects.
  8. Coordinating the student’s participation in scientific conferences and gatherings inside and outside of the college.

Annual Report Committee

Objectives:

This committee is responsible for the preparation of periodic and monthly reports that monitor the most important achievements of the college in terms of academic performance, administrative and research and the obstacles that may face the college. The committee get all the information documented, in order to prepare the annual report of the college that shows what has been achieved within the development plan of the College. 

Duties:

  1. Follow-up the reports and the achievements documents of other committees in the college regularly.
  2. Preparing regular reports that monitor the most important achievements of the college at the academic, administrative and research levels.
  3. Archive copies of all the committees’ achievement reports and related documents.
  4. Preparation of the annual report of the college which shows what has been achieved in the college.

Professional Academic Committee

Objectives:

  • Improve the student's level of experience according to the vision and mission of the college.
  • Supplement the labor market with national competencies.
  • Provide the students with professional certificates that qualify them for the labor market.

Duties:

  • Determine the needs of the labor market according to the programs offered by the College.
  • Determine the training needs of the college in accordance with the labor market.
  • Identify professional certificates and academic partnerships.
  • Preparation of the semestral and annual training plan.
  • Supervision over the students’ registration in the offered courses and ensure that they meet the requirements.

Community service

The committee of Community Service

Mission:

Leadership of the community services, specially, in computer science and information field.

Vision:

Providing a distinguished community service through /by training courses, technical consultations and various programs that serve the community and increase the technical awareness.

Objectives:

  • The definition for the next  generations about  the importance of the college in scientific services that contribute to the best provision of the best career opportunities for the current students  as it represents the importance of the College in the future in attracting the most distinguished talents of students.
  • Enhancing the college's relationship with the society to meet its needs and requirements of programs, courses and technical consultations that contribute to raising the level of knowledge in various computer fields.
  • To spread the meaning  of volunteer work among faculty members ( faculty lecturers and students) .Also, to highlight the value of this kind of work .
  • To allow some excellent faculty researches  to  be an  interesting  resources for companies or scientists , such as student graduation projects and others.

Duties:

  • Using  the scientific methods in the research tools such as the questionnaires and different surveys for the purpose of gathering the most prominent needs and requirements of the scientific community of programs, courses and computer consultations.
  • Studying  needs and requirements after collecting   them and examining their importance and the possibility  to represent.
  • Determining  the most efficient and the best faculty members to represent  the proposed workshops  based on scientific specialization and previous experience.
  • Encouraging faculty members  and students to participate as volunteer in spreading their scientific experiences and presenting them to the general public. This is a great service that contributes to raising the scientific status.
  • Receiving and documenting all social volunteer ideas and initiatives from faculty members and students then studying them and adopting them if accepted by the committee.
  • Coordinating and organizing the different events of programs, courses and consultations.
  • Organizing some of the college's educational activities by school visits and others.
  • Monitoring and documenting all submitted activities and developed them.-
  • Issuing certificates of submitted activity for certain outstanding works.-
  • Continuing coordination with the Dean of the College and the Deanship of Community Service to provide services and take the necessary approvals.
  • Following-up special needs students in the college and learn about their technical needs and ensure the provision of all their rights.

About the committee:

The Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences is keen to introduce its students to the work environment.  This has a positive impact on getting students to try to link what they learn from the theoretical and practical sciences within the college to what exists within the work sectors. Therefore, the College Summer Training Committee was established to be the link between the work sectors and the college students through coordination with various companies and institutions, both public and private, and provide training opportunities for trainees, before graduation, so that the trainee is familiar with the work environment and contact with the labor market and knowledge of career opportunities after graduation.

 

Vision:

The summer training program is one of the most important practical programs that the trainee receives during his study at the college. This program benefits the trainee and the faculty and the training destination itself as the trainee learns the applied fields according to his specialty.

 

Mission:

The college is keen to identify the suitability of its plans and curricula to the requirements of the labor market and training. It also learns about the potential of the college trainees and the level of their scientific preparation and application, as well as assisting graduates in obtaining job offers suitable for their specialties and building good relations with the work sectors.

 

Objectives:

  1. Provide students with the opportunity to learn about the work environment and the required regularity and commitment within the training destination.
  2. Provide the opportunity for students to apply the theoretical sciences obtained in the college within the work environment.
  3. Provide students with the opportunity to see the equipment in companies and institutions and try to link them to the equipment that they have learned.
  4. Identify the career opportunities in those training destinations.
  5. Help the students to take responsibility and punctuality and respect others and listen to their views.
  6. Help the students to work in a team.

 

Duties:

  1. Planning and supervising summer training.
  2. Registration of students and make sure that they meet the requirements of summer training.
  3. Selection of field supervisor and selection of field experience.
  4. Develop a plan for follow-up visits and support from faculty members to training places.
  5. Make recommendations to the responsible authorities to develop the summer training system.
  6. Holding workshops for students wishing summer training and workshops for representatives of training destinations.
