The origin of the college

The College of Pharmacy at Jouf University was established under the Royal Decree No. (1086 / MB) dated 26/1/1428 H, and was established with the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on the decisions of the Higher Education Council at its five department session. :

  • Pharmaceutics department
  • Clinical Pharmacy department
  • Pharmacology department
  • Pharmaceutical Chemistry department
  • Pharmacognosy department

The study started at the college with the beginning of the academic year 1431/1432 H after passing the students for the preparatory year, which began the study at the beginning of the academic year 1430/1431 H.

The bachelor's degree in pharmacy is 5 years (178 credit hours) and the student is taught in the following sections: Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy and Clinical Pharmacy, as well as the preparatory year.

This program can be summarized as follows:

  • First: Academic Units:
  • The hours required to start the program are 34 hours (preparatory year)
  • General preparation hours 12 hours.
  • Bachelor program 132 hours.
  • Second: Field Training: Two summer semesters are offered, with 320 practical hours per semester (640 work hours per field).
