My Diabetes Friend" event on the occasion of World Diabetes Day

The Student Activities Committee (Female Section) implemented the “My Diabetes Friend” event in the lobby of the Girls Colleges Complex in Al-Qurayyat on Sunday 8-4-1443 AH corresponding to 11-14-2021 AD at 11 am. A group of Nursing Department students participated in the event under the supervision of Dr. Nevin Adel and Dr. Amira Bakhatra, and another group from the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences under the supervision of Dr. Fatima Ahmed.The event was implemented in the presence of a large number of beneficiaries in the complex, where they interacted with the awareness pillars in which there are a group of different publications that define diabetes and its symptoms as well as its types. There were also accompanying activities such as measuring blood sugar and blood pressure for those wishing to attend. This event was accompanied by answering many of the attendees’ inquiries about diabetes and how to deal with it in case of injury, and the advice given to avoid complications and coexist with diabetes to maintain the general health of the patient was listened to. The event concluded with wishes of health and wellness to all attendees.
