Academic affairs Unit
The primary role of Student Affairs Unit is to provide information and advice about student academic progression requirements within the Staying on Track program, including the Staying on Track Information Sessions.
Also, the Student Affairs Unit administers the University student appeals process and to provide information and advice to faculties and students about all aspects of student appeals, misconduct and plagiarism.
Achieve excellence in academic work by providing a high quality academic and administrative environment to contribute to the educational institute, academic advancement of the faculty and the development of its performance.
The unit seeks to contribute to the regulation of the educational process in the college and seek to develop it through effective communication with the supervisors and coordinators of the departments, units and committees and carrying out the tasks and activities entrusted to it by the Deanship of the College, thus contributing to providing an educational environment that meets the quality standards.
1- Contribute to provide a distinct environment conducive to learning and intellectual creativity.
2- Conduct studies related to the development of the academic process to achieve quality standards.
3- Contribute to the planning, setting of goals, policies and programs for the educational process in the college, which serves the development objectives of the college to participate in building the knowledge society.
4- Contribute to the strengthening of academic staff and the development of its performance in accordance with the standards and requirements of quality.
5- To achieve continuous and effective communication between the Deanship of the College and supervisors and coordinators of departments, units and committees in the faculty.
6- Create a modern database including the data of the faculty members and the courses and plans for the benefit of them.
7- Strengthen faculty and staff relations with each other and facilitate communication between faculty and staff.
8- Contributing to the academic and administrative staff of the faculty, university, society and its institutions.
1- Facilitate the communication between the Deanship of the College and the departments of the College.
2- Respond to all inquiries received by the Academic Affairs Unit through mail, telephone or e-mail according to the rules and regulations.
3- To carry out the tasks and activities assigned by the Deanship of the College and to provide them with the required reports.
4- Follow up the work of academic committees within the college.
5- Follow up student excuses, delays and disciplinary cases in coordination with the units and committees concerned with the college.
6- Provide a database of departments, faculty members, programme and courses.
7- Participate in the reception and guidance of new students and introduce them to the College and its various departments, and follow-up issues and needs of academic students.
8- Participation in various activities in the college.
9- Supporting the quality and academic accreditation unit in its work.
10- Follow up the work of academic departments and faculty members and coordinate with them in the preparation of study schedules.
11- Working with the Deanship of the College and the academic departments to develop new programs and develop the curricula of the college in proportion to the need of the labor market.
12- Contributing to determining the requirements of faculty members and participating in the study of applications for employment.
13- Submit suggestions to the Deanship of the College about all that would promote the departments and college.
14- Work on the application of regulations, decisions and regulations for academic affairs in the College.
