Vision, Mission, Objectives and Tasks

About the unit:

The college of Science is keen to provide specialized higher education to meet the needs of the Kingdom of qualified competencies with high scientific degrees. The post Graduate, Scientific Research and Scholarship Unit was established To provide Supervision and follow-up post graduate students from acceptance in various programs until they obtain a degree, complete the requirements to obtaining the degree and elevate to the University Council to obtain masters or doctorate degree, according to the Regulations and rules.

Based on the keenness of the college of Science to provide specialized higher education in order to meet the needs of the Kingdom of qualified and high-grade competencies, it has established the Unit of post graduate Studies and Scientific Research and Scholarship and determined its role in supervising and following up all matters related The status of graduate students from admission to various programs and completion of the requirements of obtaining the degree and elevating to the University Council by applying for a master degree or Ph.D. degree. In accordance with the Regulations and rules, which contribute to enable the College to achieve the vision, mission and objectives of Jouf University..

Vision:

To achieve the Post Graduate, Scientific Research and Scholarship Unit in the college of Science the quality of programs and events that offered to post graduate students, and to stimulate them to innovate in scientific research according to policy and mission of the College.

To become the Graduate and scientific Research Unit in the Faculty of Science, to be based on the quality of programs and events offered to graduate students, and to stimulate them to innovate in scientific research in accordance with the faculty policy and mission.

Mission:

To provide high quality programs and events in the field of scientific research, serving students of postgraduate students and scientific research.

Objectives:

  1. Provide support to postgraduate students and assist them at home and abroad, in all subjects related to the faculty of Science.
  2. Upgrading the scientific research skills of postgraduate students through targeted programs, distinguished hospitality for some professionals, and advocacy for active research teams between faculty members and study students.
  3. To overcome the obstacles faced by postgraduate students, and work to provide solutions and proposals that contribute to overcoming the constraints in their scientific and research careers.
  4. To ensure the follow-up of conferences and seminars and to contribute to their establishment and to invite them within the college, and motivate faculty members and postgraduate students to attend, actively participate in them.
  5. To strive for the Graduate and scientific research Unit to be a role model at the college and university level through its programs and activities.
  6. To highlight and activate the role of the Graduate and scientific research unit by raising awareness of the guidance and instructions of postgraduate studies and providing some workshops (WORKSHOPS) by faculty members in various subjects.

Tasks:

  1. Implementation and follow-up of the university and College policy for postgraduate studies and scientific research.
  2. Respond to all inquiries concerning the studies and scientific research in the college.
  3. Interest in scientific research when teaching staff and postgraduate students, and the formation of research teams within the college.
  4. Provide assistance to postgraduate students and work to solve their corresponding obstacles and difficulties.
  5. Studying all the topics and decisions of the General Dean and proposing appropriate action.
  6. Submit proposals and recommendations that will raise the level of performance of graduate programs and scientific research in the college.
  7. Identification and follow-up of the unit's needs in the college.
  8. Follow up on the issues of scholarship students from postgraduate studies, and communicate with the university Agency for Graduate Studies and scientific research in this regard.
