Academic and Student Counseling Unit

The mission

The Academic and Student Counseling Unit at the College of Applied Medical Sciences at Jouf University is a guiding unit that serves the students primarily by introducing the student to the university's regulations and guiding him in choosing the suitable courses according to the academic plan. And help him to overcome all obstacles in his study to obtain a degree successfully according to the objectives of the College.

Vision

The Academic and Student Counseling Unit is a leading and distinctive guidance unit in the field of academic and student extension services in accordance with international quality standards.

Objectives

  1. Provide the necessary support for students to complete the study plan and finish all requirements within the available time.
  2. Providing academic and guidance information for students and increasing their awareness of the University's mission, goals and regulations.
  3. Follow-up students academically and help them to complete their studies efficiently and support the University's efforts to provide a healthy learning environment to graduate qualified students to the labor market.
  4. Help students learn about scientific disciplines that commensurate their mental abilities and tendencies.
  5. To guide students who are defaulting to study, guide them and take care of them and follow them to raise their scientific level and help them overcome the obstacles they face.
  6. Provide students with suggestions and advice to improve their academic achievement and help them overcome their academic and administrative problems.
  7. Raise awareness on campus to provide the university with resources and services to improve the level of students.
  8. Provide students with the experience and scientific opinion about organizing their time and good investment to obtain the best methods of study and good collection.

Duties

  1. Defining the tasks and mechanisms of the academic guidance unit in the faculty and documenting them.
  2. Participate actively in the reception of new college students at the start of the study.
  3. Distributing the students to the academic instructors in the college
  4. Provide extension tools from the university sources and deliver them to the academic guides.
  5. Holding workshops on the role of academic guidance and its importance in university life
  6. Cooperation with the Student Problems Committee to review cases of re-enrollment of students.
  7. Limiting students who have defaulted academically and raising their names to the academic and student guidance center at the university.
  8. Accomplish outstanding academic students at the end of each semester and honor them.
  9. To carry out the work entrusted to them by the Dean of the College.

Schedules and Examination Unit

The mission

The unit of Schedules and Examination in the College of Applied Medical Sciences is committed to activate and improve the work and systems of tests and schedules in the College according to quality standards to achieve the mission of the College

 

 

Vision

Achieving excellence and leadership in the application of test systems and tables to ensure the regularity of the educational process and improve the quality.

 

 

Objectives

  1. Contribute to the regularity of the educational process and enable the College to achieve its mission and objectives.
  2. To provide a suitable environment for the testing of quality standards.
  3. Upgrading the levels of test systems and tables.

Mission

  1. Preparation and follow-up of the college's schedules and announcement in the first week of the study.
  2. Determine the time frame for the tests and carry out all the tasks related to them during the period.
  3. Full supervision and maintenance of the final tests at the specified time in the declared schedules.

4 - Declaration of students on the screens of the instructions and procedures of the tests and also informing them of the penalty of attempted fraud.

Laboratories unit

Mission

Providing the latest scientific equipment and all the security and safety means of laboratories for the completion of high quality laboratory and research activities.

Vision

Upgrading the laboratories and laboratories by providing the latest equipment that meets the requirements of academic accreditation to achieve the vision and mission of the college to be one of the colleges of Jouf University distinguished in the fields of education and research.

Objectives

  1. Achieving the vision and mission of the college in the fields of education and research.
  2. Provide the best and latest scientific and laboratory equipment for laboratories.
  3. Providing all security and safety measures in the laboratories.

 

 

Duties

  1. Preparing databases for the equipment and chemicals in the various departments of the college, and printing catalogs to facilitate the research process and determine responsibility.
  2. Follow-up chemicals and equipment in college to reduce waste and control the process of exchange and follow-up deficit in consumer
  3. Studying the prices of insurance companies to supply the needs of the laboratories of the nursing departments, clinical laboratory sciences and physiotherapy two parts of the students in the faculty. And follow-up supply by companies.

4 - To perform the inventory of devices to be maintained periodic or corrective.

  1. Identify supervisors and technicians for all laboratories and distribute tasks and responsibilities to them.
  2. To carry out the work entrusted to them by the Dean of the College.

Scientific Committee

Mission

  1. Discussing and studying the applications and topics of the Saudi faculty members and the like in the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Jouf University, in the presence of scientific conferences and the promotion of faculty members according to the university's rules and conditions.
  2. Study and discuss the files of applicants from Saudi citizens who wish to join the work in different departments of the faculty in the post of lecturer, lecturer and assistant professor
  3. To study and discuss the applications of non-Saudis wishing to contract to work in the College of Applied Medical Sciences.
  4. To make recommendations to facilitate applications submitted to the departmental councils or the College Council to take whatever decisions they deem appropriate.

Objectives

  1. Raise the level of thinking in the development of solutions and mechanisms that will overcome all that hinders the efforts of scientific research faculty.
  2. Ensuring that the member of the advanced faculty meets a scientific conference or a workshop seminar as well as the applicant for promotion from the University's special requirements and regulations before submitting it to the department or college council.
  3. Ensuring that the faculty member fulfills the criteria and conditions necessary for the requirements of granting communication leave and full time at the university before submitting it to the department or college council.
  4. Raise the level of discussion of some important issues, which are specialized in the scientific activity out of them by recommendations useful and easy to implement.

Committee of study plans and curricula

Mission

  1. To raise awareness about the importance of curriculum development among faculty members and students.
  2. Studying proposals related to the development of courses and curricula.
  3. Developing new study programs or developing existing study programs according to the guide to preparing and developing plans and study programs.
  4. Supervising the implementation of the plan to develop and update the programs through the follow-up of the implementation of the recommendations and provide the necessary advice.
  5. Studying all that is referred to the Committee by the Dean of the College.

Objectives

  1. Preparing graduates with a bachelor's degree and a specialist who will be able to provide comprehensive and direct health care and service to patients as one of the active members of the medical team in each field of specialization.

Committee for Statistics and Information

Mission

  1. Collecting information, data and statistics related to various aspects of the College's activities.
  2. Classification and classification of data and statistics of the college, and the foundations of storage and retrieval.

Public Relations and Media Committee

Committee for student activities, initiatives and community service

mission

  1. Limiting initiatives provided by students, faculty members and faculty departments in extracurricular activities and community service.
  2. Studying and setting up the proposed mechanism to implement the activities that will be established by the College and submit the proposals to the Dean of the College
  3. To report on the activities carried out by the Dean of the College and the Deanship of Student Affairs.
  4. Representing the college in the activities that take place at the university level or outside the university environment

Committee for the Conciliation of Parallel Education

Mission

  1. Determine the proposed numbers for admission to parallel education programs in coordination with department heads and approval by the College Council.
  2. Complete lists of candidates and candidates for admission and approval by the College Council.

Program Committee

Objectives

  1. To contribute to the improvement of the country's economy by generating diverse employment opportunities, expanding opportunities for young people, empowering specialized human cadres and preparing them to join the labor market and exploit their productive potential.
  2. Upgrading the level of Jouf University to highlight its reputation by creating rare and useful programs through an academic partnership with international universities where these programs exist. This allows for the creation of more cooperation in other fields such as scientific research and the development of university faculty members.
  3. Taking into consideration the benefits that can be achieved from the programs developed for the community of Al-Jouf and the local and regional communities because of their scarcity and lack of specialized national cadres.

Mission

  1. The possibility of opening medical specialties related to the College of Applied Medical Sciences. In support of its objectives and to complement its general vision to serve the Al-Jouf area as well as the adjacent areas in our beloved Kingdom.
  2. Find a selection and determine the quality of the important applied medical specialties needed by the labor market in the field of health care.

3- To consider the importance of the newly developed programs in highlighting the name of Jouf University and to strengthen its reputation among its universities from other local and international universities. It is good to choose useful and rare programs as universities and universities in the Arab countries.

To clarify the needs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of the program developed by knowing the need for the competent cadres within the Kingdom in exchange for the number of its population and compare the proportion of cadres in this specialization to some countries of the first world such as the United Kingdom, America, Canada and Australia in the same way to help in determining the needs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and find out the real need in the number of cadres.
