  1. Setting out the general regulations/controls of the academic schedule for all university’s colleges.
  2. Following up the implementation of the controls of the academic schedule by the concerned colleges.
  3. Studying requests for exemption from applying some controls and estimating the necessary conditions for this exemption.
  4. Studying and recommending the payment of overtime hours.
  5. Determining the procedures regarding any non-compliance with the proposed controls and submitting related concerns to His Excellency the Rector of the University.

Committee’s Responsibilities

  1. Studying the recommendations of college’s councils regarding the exemption from the executive rules of Jouf University for articles: 13 & 4 of the study and examination rules at the university stage, which are related to the number of postponements and apologies for an academic semester.
  2. Considering granting university students, who are dismissed academically due to the fourth warning, a fifth chance upon a recommendation from the concerned student college’s council according to criteria determined by the committee.
  3. Recommending to the University Council to give students, who are academically dismissed due to the Fifth warning, a sixth and final opportunity according to criteria determined by the committee.
  4. Considering granting students, who are dismissed academically due to exceeding double duration of the program, an additional opportunity to complete the program’s requirements of no more than two academic semesters upon the College Council’s recommendation.
  5. Considering the re-enrollment of students, whose enrollment record was folded due to dropout or withdrawal for more than once, upon a recommendation of the concerned College’s Council of student.
  6. Considering the approval of all academic movements that are required by the College Council after the end of the regular period determined by the university academic calendar or by the executive rules of the study and examinations regulations for the university stage, including the deletion and addition, re-enrollment and granting additional opportunity to improve grades, approving student excuses submitted after the end of the regular period.
  7. Conducting periodic review of the executive rules of the study and examination regulations for the university stage and recommending any related amendments to be presented to the University Council in order to take relevant decisions.
  8. Considering the recommendations of all Colleges’ Councils regarding all exceptions from the executive rules of the study and examination regulations at Jouf University.
  9. Considering the academic cases referred by His Excellency the Rector of the university that were not previously mentioned in order to take relevant decisions.

Committee’s Responsibilities

 

  1. Providing a comprehensive electronic database that includes all assets and needs at the department, college and university level, ensuring a higher level of coordination between the needs of different colleges in a consistent manner with the budget allocated by the university.
  2. Studying the reality of laboratories in different colleges to find out what is working, and to inquire from those colleges about the challenges of using them effectively.
  3. Receiving and studying purchase orders submitted by different colleges and departments and putting them in a public competition (tender) as possible after ensuring the official approval of the concerned authorized body, and then setting out an announced specific mechanism for the related procedure.
  4. The Committee is entitled to recommend the approval, disapproval or amendment of purchase orders and tenders for laboratories.
  5. Preparing a database of companies specialized in laboratories and focusing on agencies of international companies well-known in their field of industry.
  6. Technical studying of offers through committees formed by the Central Committee.
  7. Following up the procedures of tender selection and ensuring the speed up of procedures between the committees and related specialized departments
  8. Preparing a list of companies that are repeatedly non-compliance with or meet the competition’s conditions such as  the supply period, warranty, maintenance and others, and setting out relevant solutions to be addressed.
