Brief Course Description of in Nursing Technician Program:

Community nursing: NUR351:

To know the terms related to community nursing with learning about the services in P.HCS. To know also the home visit technique and the role of it in health improvement for the individuals, families and community as a whole. To deal with the health community problems as: child abuse ,violence and the endemic diseases .To help in improvement heath for individuals in industrial areas, schools, to identify the physiological changes for adults and senile .To determine the problems related to women and child health .To learn methods of health improvement for the whole community through  theoretical and clinical methods.

 

Professions and systems in health care:NUR241:

Talk about the role and responsibilities of the nurse in P.H.C centers according to services which are provided by these centers like :health promotion for the women during reproductive cycle(pregnancy, perperium ,etc…..),Take care for infants ,children ,provide vaccines, health education by giving advice  about healthy habits and avoiding the bad habits.

 

Medical Surgical:NUR242:

To use the critical thinking when dealing with clients needs ,application for nursing process ,describing pre and post operative care ,identify the nursing implication of various procedures used for diagnostic assessment of body system, to know also the pathology related to common medical and surgical  problems and plan effective care of patient with(fluid volume imbalance ,respiratory tract diseases ,cardiovascular diseases),all of these through theoretical and practical sections.

 

 

Maternity subject:NUR243:

 

Review for anatomy of genitalia ,provide care for woman during :pregnancy ,delivery and post delivery, identify the problems which faced the woman during her life phases .Take care for newborn baby ,identify the Medical problems accompanied with ongoing age..To identify the family planning methods and the family counseling ,all of these types of services are provided by theoretical and practical sections.

 

 

Pediatric Nursing NUR246:

 

The subject contains (theoretical & practical) parts. The student will be acquire knowledge about growth & development and its theories. And different stages of development and normal status of each stage and the common disorders in each. The student identify the nursing management for each disorders (congenital anomalies, baby with dehydration, nephritic syndrome, pneumonia, malnutrition, obesity, anorexia nervosa ,etc…) regarding stages. Also the students acquire practical skills about caring the baby in different developmental stages and different disorders in both lab & hospital departments (well baby, NICO, PICO and pediatric clinic).
